The 2017 Honda Ridgeline Took on a Mountain With Ease | Luther St. Cloud Honda

We're getting closer and closer to all-electric vehicles.

With each year that passes, the need for fuel cell technologies to power our cars becomes heavier. Fortunately, Honda is prepared for that necessity, as it's set to release their first fuel cell car by the thousands in 2020. That's just 4 years away.

Earlier this month, Honda Motor Company unveiled the Clarity hydrogen fuel cell concept vehicle in Japan, which you can see in the picture above. This should serve as a springboard to the first mass fuel cell Honda.

"We are bringing all experience to the table, which means all that Honda learned from the Clarity fuel cell," says Matthias Bork, the chief engineer for fuel cell propulsion systems at GM.

200 Clarity models will be for sale in Japan, and then it'll launch in the United States and Europe by the end of the year. But in 4 years, Honda wants tens of thousands of units.

Our Honda dealership in St. Cloud, Minnesota is incredibly excited for this project. This could possibly be the start of the end for gasoline-powered vehicles.
